Now thats a long title.
So last week we went to Sharifah Ariana's 3rd birthday and there was a playpen for babies to "chill" according to her husband. I did put Kalif inside.But I went in too.Imagine how I looked like,inside the small enclosure with Kalif busily pushing the buttons to the toy that Sofea left.
I think all new mommies are like me.I always attend my child, not letting him to learn how to soothe himself , or explore stuff on his own, or better yet learn how to use his body . He just learnt how to make a "pondok". Use your imagination.
Sofea came and said "Leave him thereee!""You sure its safe?" "Yeah of course!I always leave Amira inside and do my thangggg".
ok.I'll give this a try.
I walked over to the buffet and helped myself to some briyani and..
sat down at the table next to the playpen bahahahaha.What?Its a party !Someone might come and abduct my child.
Well Kalif was fine btw.He enjoyed laying in there on his tummy, just looking around and poking the toys.So Im planning to get him a playpen and those alphabet mats.
ToysRUS alamanda (express) sells the mat but not the playpen/adjustable enclosure . Any of you mothers can help point to the right direction?Where can I get em babies and how much do they cost and how big is the enclosure?
Any suggestions /advice are most welcome :)

salman ada playpen tu, kak sue beli kat fabulous mom.. g terjah.. Kaksue mmg tinggal salman dalam playpen je kalau nak buat kerja, safe since takde benda merbahaya dia boleh capai dan takkan berjaya panjat tangga.. plus dia still boleh nampak kak sue berlegar2 disekitar ruang tamu n dapur, berjoget kadang nak bg dia happy terkinja2 gak dalam playpen tu selain bukak pocoyo..
ehh harga lupa lak nak bgtau... less than rm400 kak sue lupa sebab beli sekali dengan carrier salman and a few barang lain..
so nice kalau pegi mana2 ade macam ni..betul2, kalau bagi dorang free cmni meng'explore' dorang lagi cepat belajar..

I bought luqman a vee bee playpen. it has 6 panels and the panels are made of mesh. price is RM1000 (a bit on the high side, i know) and I bought it at first few years, the curve.
upsides: it's stable. so even when luqman pushes and pushes, the thing doesn't toppple. plus it's mesh so no suffocation and baby can see and and we can see baby quite clearly. i used it from the time he started walking (he learnt to walk in it!) until he was like nearly 2. then, he figured out how to panjat his toy boxes so that just became dangerous.
downsides: it is so damn expensive. it's kind of big so it takes up space. the mat that comes with the playpen cannot be washed in the washing machine, so mmg kena selalu buka, vacuum and pasang semula. and of course, because it is so big, ada byk la jugak hooks yang nak dipasang.
but having said that, i think it was a good purchase. boleh guna untuk anak2 akan datang juga(amin!)and bila budak-budak datang rumah, semua sumbat dalam tu since dia besar. plus while bendalah tu dipasang at home, rumah tak bersepah with toys sebab semua toys kat dalam that particular enclosure. so, takpayah pening nak buatkan playroom. and of course, it's safe!

Hai mommy thank u for that long reply!i googled veebee and is it the one with six sides?i think i prefer that than a walker, but is it strong enough for ur lil one to pull himself up (he/she) ? Ive googled a few, and found two designs that is made of plastic, not see thru of course but you can assemble and disassemble it . does that apply to veebee's playpen as well?
so far, from what i can remember (macam lah lama sangat anak baru je 2 tahun hehehe), from those times yang he fell asleep in it, when he wakes up, he would already be standing by the panels crying for me. so, yeah, i guess it is strong enough to for him to pull himself up. this one can be disassembled, tapi nak terangkan pun macam tak sure how. yang i ingat, dia punya panels come in pairs, meaning 3 sets of panels perlu disambungkan before it becomes a hexagon. i hope that answers your question. heheh
