Hiii Nia Ramadhani ni the houseeeee! Rindu tak?
Alhamdulillah selamat pulang dari Pekanbaru (bear with me ok,ive been speaking with an indonesian slang for 5 days, takes a while to rub it off haha)
Lawatan kali ni memang jejak kasih. It's my 3rd time here.The first time, for a college trip.Didn't meet any relatives then. 2nd time, we just went without any knowledge of where all our relatives lived.We tried finding them using the yellow book, but still failed to find them. Then we just took a cab to Pak Long Bakar's kampung , but no one was helpful.We only managed to find Pak Bakar's kubur.And you know what? It was only 5 minutes away from his house!
Oh well masa tu takda rezeki.
Day 1, we packed everything and made a pit stop at my MILs.Aizad's mom took care of our cat Jamie and Along's cat Petot.She sent us to the airport and we waited for the rest of the group. By 1.30 everyone was there,I printed our boarding pass and we all checked our bags in.
Flight at 3.20 and took 1 hour.actually , it took less than an hour, probably 20-25 mins in air.
Pekanbaru greeted us at 3.15 local time
As soon as we stepped into the arrival hall, Our relatives were waiting! There was Wak Mizi,ayah's cousin on nenek's side, Ibu Noraini, arwah Pak Bakar's widow, Abang merzal, abang al and kak fitri, her children ,and all grown up!
They all drove 4 cars and brought us back to the hotel for some rest. We stayed at Hotel Amaris, which costs around Rp 280k per night.Around RM80.
It's very minimalist, quite new. at 6.30,they picked us up and brought us to Pak Bakar's for dinner, but Abang Al brought us to buy simcards, SiMpati Jitu. I bought a new number and internet package worth rp60k for 2GB.
When we arrived at Pak Bakar's, the house was pitch dark ! Hahaha masa ni la dia blackout. The whole kampung, Kampung Gobah.We had a delicious dinner, and ayah gave away souvenirs . Ucu syafri was there, ayah's younger brother. Also his cousin Pak Uyub (on Atuks side).
We had a great time catching up but ayah was tired,so I suggested that Ayah be sent to the hotel with Mama first,and we youngsters can hang out and see Pekanbaru at night.hahaha.Our cousins were so warm it didnt feel like the first time meeting them.Abang Al and Merzal and Abang Indra (our cousins hubs) drove us to Pekanbaru Mal (Mall) . I found a cute stall that makes these cute word crafts ..and Aizad found a great Pukis Stall. HAHAHA.lucah tau. Pukis is like apam balik..
We wanted to do some singing but it was late and everyone was tired. We were to travel to Bentayan,ayah's kampung the next day.Its an 8 hour drive!
